Sami traditions under the AuroraWe pick you up and drive to our Sami guides' home area. While we taste Sami traditional specialties our guide shows a slideshow and tells about the arctic nature, Sami culture and Sami traditions.
When the food is ready we eat a Sami family dinner and then we go out to look for the northern lights and learn more about our arctic nature. If you bring your own camera we will help you to get the right settings and to get pictures from the evening. If we don’t see northern lights we start driving back to increase our chances of seeing auroras. Price: SEK 2,590/adult, children 3-15 years SEK 1,590/child-youth. Private tour available.
The price includes: Pick-up from Icehotel, Kiruna tourist office or Camp Ripan, slide show, two-course dinner, traditional snacks from the Sami kitchen, booster seats for children, Sami guide with knowledge in photography, and a headlamp. Cover clothes and shoes on request. Participants: Minimum 2 adults. Departures: September 1-March 27 at 17.00–approx. 22.30 How to prepare: - Clothes adapted to the season, gloves and a warm hat. - Beverage is not included. - Allergy, please let us know at booking. It is good to know that reindeer skins and dogs are common in the cars and on locations. |
Note: - Transfer time: One way, 1 hour, depending on road conditions. Not recommended for children under 3 years old due to the transfer time. - Northern lights: We do our best to find clear skies, but can never guarantee that we will experience the northern lights. - Equipment: You are responsible for keeping borrowed equipment safe, you will pay a repair fee for a damaged or lost camera plate or headlamp. |
