Ski in the mountains

We drive 1,5 hour by car to Abisko national park to ski in the mountain area. We start our tour following the famous Kings trail, following the ski tracks to Gorsavaggi or if it is difficult to go there we are skiing into the forest. 

The guide tells about nature, the arctic animals and stories from the area while skiing. You will also learn more about Sami culture on the tour.

We stop for a cup of tea in an open spot in the forest, and enjoy the scenery before heading back to Abisko village. We end the tour having lunch in the restaurant before starting our tour back to Kiruna.

  • Children 10-15 years SEK 1,290/person.

Participants: 
  • Minimum 2 adults.
Daily departures: (December 1 - May 15)​
  • Kiruna tourist office 7.45 am - approx 2.00 pm
  • Camp Ripan 8.00.am
How to prepare:
  • Clothes adapted to the season,  gloves and a warm hat. ​
  • Allergy, please let us know at booking. It is good to know that reindeer skins and dogs are common in the cars and on locations.

Note: 
- The tour: Can be both longer and shorter depending on your skills and how far away we go to the ski tracks.
- Equipment: When you borrow ski equipment from us you are responsible keeping it safe, you will pay a repair fee for a damaged or lost ski, ski pole or ski boots. 
- Cancellation: If there is nowhere to ski on the departure date we cancel the tour, in that case we will refund you the full amount of the tour. 
- Children: Younger children on the private tours will use a sledge instead of ski equipment.
