Close to the highest mountains of Sweden

​We drive through the Kalix valley into the highest mountain area in Sweden, close to the heart of Kebnekaise. We photograph the beautiful landscape and our guide shows us the area and talks about nature. If we are lucky, we get a chance to photograph arctic animals. At the end of the road we come to Nikkaluokta where we will spend the night.

After a two-course dinner with our Sami guide, we prepare our equipment to go out in the quietness of the Sami village Nikkaluokta. The northern lights are already taking the first steps above us. It is dark and quiet, the starry sky is never as clear as here in the mountain regions.

In the morning it is time for a nature safari in the surroundings. Lunch is served outdoors before we prepare to go back to Kiruna. We are back in Kiruna in the afternoon.

How to prepare:
  • Clothes adapted to the season,  gloves and a warm hat.
  • Alcoholic beverage is not included.​
  • Single room is not included, but you can order for an extra fee your own room.
  • SD memory card is not included but can be purchased from the guide.
  • Children share camera with adult.
  • Allergy - food restrictions, please let us know at booking. It is good to know that reindeer skins and dogs are common in the cars and on locations.

- Northern lights/wild animals: We do our best, but can never guarantee that we will see wild animals or the northern lights. 
- Camera equipment: You are responsible for keeping borrowed equipment safe, you will pay a repair fee for a damaged or lost camera, camera plate, headlamp, lens or lenscap.
- SD memory cards: We are not responsible for data on the SD memory cards used in our cameras.
