Learn about Sami culture while enjoying the landscape

Our local Sami guide will pick you up and, by minibus, we drive to the village. We enjoy the fantastic landscape, with the opportunity to see moose, reindeer and other wild animals, and also make a stop to see Mount Kebnekaise when it is possible.

The road ends at the village of Nikkaluokta. Depending on the weather and season, we can take a short tour in the landscape. Our Sami guide tells us about the Sami culture and nature in the area.

When the snow is deep and the winter cold pinches the cheeks, it can be nicer to sit inside by the fire and look out over the beautiful view towards Vistasvággi, while the guide show pictures and talk about the life in the mountain valley.

We end the tour with lunch before we go back to Kiruna. ​

How to prepare:
  • Clothes adapted to the season,  gloves and a warm hat. ​
  • Allergy / food restrictions, please let us know at booking. It is good to know that reindeer skins and dogs are common in the cars and on locations.

Note: 
​- Transfer time: One way, 1 hour, depending on road conditions. Not recommended for children under 3 years old due to the transfer time.
- Wildlife/Kebnekaise: We do our best, but can never guarantee that we will see wild animals or  Sweden's highest mountain.
