A more than 400 year old Sami meeting place

​On this day tour to Jokkmokk we show you the best to see in the market. We meet the best Sami craftsmen in Sweden and guide you in local shopping.

After a 3 hour drive we are there, in Jokkmokk. We try to see the Kuhmunen
family and their reindeers when they arrive at the market and look for Sami
handicraft.

We also take some time to feel the atmosphere of the market and, if you
want, also do some shopping before it’s time to leave, even if we recommend you to stay overnight if you really want to discover the market.

​We end the tour eating a Sami inspired late lunch before we drive back to Kiruna.

Price: 
  • Adult and youth SEK 2,590/person.
  • Children 6-12 years SEK 1,590/person.

  • Camp Ripan 7.30.am - approx 6.30 pm
  • Icehotel 7.30.am - the time can change, in that case we contact you with a new pick up time
  • Kiruna tourist office 7.45 am 
How to prepare:
  • Clothes adapted to the season,  gloves and a warm hat. ​
  • Allergy, please let us know at booking. It is good to know that reindeer skins and dogs are common in the cars and on locations.
If there is no availability, please mail us for an extra spot..
Note: 
​- Transfer time: One way, 3 hours, depending on road conditions. Not recommended for children under 6 years old due to the transfer time.
​- Shopping time: Since there is long way to Jokkmokk from Kiruna, you will not have a full day for shopping at the market. If that is your wish we recommend you to stay in Jokkmokk over night.
