The company
In 2014 Anette Niia and Ylva Sarri founded Scandinavian Sami Photoadventures. After many years work as guides, performers and photographers we decided to do something together. We wanted to show the beautiful nature we have around us and to be able to learn others about the nature and the Sami life.
In beginning of 1900 the tourism started to Kebnekaise and Abisko. The reindeer herders of the Niia and Sarri families started to guide the tourists coming to visit the area, one generation later the Sarri family where well known mountain guides and Niia family started to work as photographers and we became the first Sami film photographer. We wanted to preserve the knowledge we got from our families and founded Scandinavian Sami Photoadventures.
